The Monster mast has a carbon content of approximately 65% to reduce weight while still delivering significant performance gains. More glass is used in place of carbon, resulting in greater impact durability with only a small weight penalty. The Monster is available in sizes from 340 to 430cm and is a suitable mast for wave and crossover sails. If not extended, the performance is nearly as high as the Kauli for lighter sailors. In comparison, it is slightly softer, a little heavier, but the difference is subtle until pushed into extreme power wind, where the softer mast will feel less responsive. This mast should not be extended beyond 30cm.
