The SuperFreak Classic feels very soft and forgiving. There is delayed response as the Dacron panels flex and absorb strong wind gusts providing a super smooth ride that is easily controlled.

The manageability of the SuperFreak Classic allows sailors to push their limits with a positive outcome. The large PVC window will not haze or cloud and it can always be kept crystal clear using any soap product. This sail model has now evolved with a totally redesigned Dacron panel layout and an updated Spectra/Dyneema Spiderwebbing® skeleton, resulting in a snappier feel and a more consistent-performing sail.

Innovative 90% Batten Design

The 2 battens directly above the boom are both 90% in length, stopping just short of the mast sleeve. This batten design provides a super controllable, luffable sail that can be powered or de-powered in an instant. Our exclusive 0.55mm thickness lightweight ROX Webbing sleeve that is nearly indestructible and absorbs 80% less water than the old OX webbing. It makes a big difference as the older SuperFreaks used a very thick 2.5mm polyester webbing that was tough, but absorbed a lot of water as the sail aged.

Customization Options

All SuperFreaks are available in custom colors – please let us know how you would like your new sail to look. Alternatively, you can choose one of the production colors. UL or Ultralight construction is also available. We replace the main leech and upper body panels with Kite canopy weight Dacron to give a softer, lighter feel. Sail weights are reduced about 200 grams in this construction.
